Summary Description This position will support the day-to-day activities of the Finance and Accounting Department. Although primarily focused on payables and project accounting, you will be exposed to a wide range of different activities and individuals at all levels and practice areas within our organization. Primary ResponsibilitiesProcess accounts payable, cash disbursements, and credit card charges. Review for accuracy and compliance with internal and external guidelines and ensure that all expenditures are properly recorded and charged to appropriate accounts in the appropriate period.Manage subcontractor timekeeping and billing to ensure timely, accurate reporting. Set-up and maintain customer projects including monthly invoicing, and any additional services related to the overall project accounting function.Effectively communicate with project managers regarding project management and analysis; provide ongoing assistance and answer questions and requests for information as needed. Assist with processing of payroll and accounting for payroll and employee benefit programs. Provide support to other accounting staff on a variety of financial and administrative tasks as needed.Prepare sales tax and other tax and regulatory reports.Monitor Dun & Bradstreet company credit rating and reporting.Ensure confidentiality and security of all sensitive and confidential information.Special projects as requested. Requirements and QualificationsAt least 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience is preferred. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in accounting.Experience processing high-volume accounts payables and project invoices. Knowledge of project accounting structure in a client/consultant business environment.Comfortable working with ERP systems. Deltek Vision and/or Vantagepoint experience a plus.Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook;)Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.High level of dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see tasks through to completion in a deadline driven environment.Hands-on "whatever it takes" mentality and strong service orientation and attitude.
