communities.Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant will work with the
accounting team to accurately, consistently and dependably maintain
journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting. The
Senior Accountant will need a mix of accounting acumen, accuracy,
detail orientation, dependability and an exceptional customer
service orientation.Responsibilities include preparation and
recording journal entries, and the maintenance of monthly close
documentation around revenue recognition, cash receipts, payroll,
accounts payable and expenses, the balance sheet other accounting
areas. The Senior Accountant is also an integral participant in the
annual audit process. The Senior Accountant will recognize areas
for improvement and help to create and implement policies and
procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in
addition to helping to create procedures and implement tools to
make the close and reporting processes more efficient and
accurate.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesAssists in training new
personnel.Responsible for review of the work product of other
accounting team members.Duties/ResponsibilitiesHelp to deliver an
efficient and dependable monthly financial close and reporting
process.Maintain a variety of monthly journal entries.Preparation
and review of workpapers and reconciliations supporting the monthly
close process.Analytical review of the results to ensure accurate
accounting records are maintained.Assist in the preparation of
monthly financial statements and related reports.Work with
Accounting Leader and RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) team to
recognize revenue, report and manage AR and record cash
receipts.Reconcile monthly benefit plans and 401(k) plans.Maintain
fixed assets subledger.Assist in the appropriate recording of
leases and corporate debt.Enter and maintain intercompany
allocations and accounting.Help with M&A (merger and
acquisition) accounting and reporting.Implement, document, and
maintain adequate and effective internal controls and
processes.Work with the accounting team to improve the close and
reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate
reporting.Accountable for assisting with audit with outside big-4
CPA firm.Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time
to time.Required Skills/AbilitiesSkilled & knowledgeable in GAAP
with high-level of accounting skills.Experience in PE-backed
healthcare companies a plus.Experience with accounting systems (MS
Dynamics GP a plus).High level of Excel skills, demonstrated
ability to work with large volumes of data.Ethical, understands the
ethical standards of a CPA.Conscientious about timeliness of
assignments and quality of work product.Accountable for delivering
a high level of customer service.Possess exceptional written and
verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate
recommendations in a concise and timely manner.Able to handle
multiple tasks and maintain control and order in a fast-paced
environment.Exceptional work ethic.Education and
ExperienceBachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting.CPA or CPA
track preferred.3+ years experience in corporate accounting.Public
Accounting experience a plus.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods
sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up
