POSITION SUMMARY: - - - -
The Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the Compliance Officer by managing the administration, testing, reporting, and dissemination of compliance-related information and documentation. This position is integral to ensuring that all compliance processes and procedures are meticulously executed, thereby safeguarding the Bank's adherence to federal and state regulations. The Compliance Specialist is also responsible for staying abreast of regulatory changes and ensuring that the Bank's policies and procedures reflect the latest compliance requirements. This role demands a proactive approach to compliance management, including participation in seminars, conferences, and workshops to continually enhance job knowledge and effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- Conduct reviews to monitor the Bank's compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance.
--- Assign and monitor Bank-wide compliance training, generating monthly reports for the Compliance Officer's review.
--- Assist with regulatory examinations and internal audits as required.
--- Support the dissemination of compliance-related materials and information.
--- Monitor the regulatory landscape to ensure the Bank's compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance.
--- Participate in seminars, conferences, and workshops to enhance job knowledge.
--- Perform all other duties as assigned (job duties may be added from time to time by the employer in its sole and absolute discretion).

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
--- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related business discipline preferred.
--- Two to Eight years' experience in audit, compliance, or risk management.
--- Strong knowledge of deposit and lending regulations.
--- Strong analytical skills.
--- Good interpersonal skills.
--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: We offer a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote after the initial 90-day period.

COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE:
In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The wage range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000 annually, plus discretionary performance based bonus. Compensation is determined based on factors such as Experience, Qualifications, and Internal equity.
