Pre-Anesthesia Screening Services (PASS) provide comprehensive preoperative evaluations, patient preparation, and essential education for patients and their families. PASS nurses also serve as key liaisons, facilitating communication among anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other members of the healthcare team. /n/n Peri-anesthesia nurses in the PACU care for a diverse patient population across a wide range of surgical specialties and trauma presentations. Success in this environment requires strong critical-thinking abilities, expert assessment and intervention skills, and effective communication.
