Patients on this unit may also be under 24-hour observation. The daily routine for nurses on this unit consists of bedside shift reports, assessments, hourly rounding, phlebotomies, IV insertions, aquapheresis, TR band recovery, patient education and more. During daily accountable care unit rounding, physicians, nurses, case management team members or social workers, and members of the pharmacy team collaborate and discuss the care plans of patients.
