A Lead Commodity Management Specialist (contract) job in Baltimore, MD is currently accepting applications. This is a temporary, contract position with our key aerospace client. To be considered, you will at least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Commodity Management, Sourcing, or Procurement. In this role you will negotiate with and manage dedicated suppliers in accordance with internal processes. You will achieve the best contractual conditions, pricing & terms, while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. To be considered for this role, you must understand the concepts and principles of Sourcing, Procurement & Fulfillment coupled with the ability to manage the supplier relationship is key to delivering the necessary level of supplier performance. Lead Commodity Management Specialist (contract) Job Responsibilities: Manage the entire life cycle of the supplier relationship (bidder list development/RFQ/bid analysis/down select/negotiations/Deal Review preparation & presentation/award/bid process documentation/PO release/Fulfillment/OTD & Quality metrics/Delivery status & commitments/ MRB documentation & RCCA/detailed milestone administration/recovery planning & execution) Define, present & administer supplier strategy to ensure best overall value is obtained, including consistent delivery to schedule & quality requirements Lead negotiations ranging from Long Term Agreements to individual Purchase Orders Negotiate terms and conditions, ensuring proper Sourcing and Legal approvals are obtained Manage and lead claim negotiations and special projects as required Monitor engineering change activity & ensure any supplier impacts, such as contract terms, price, inventory, WIP, capability, capacity, lead times & any other circumstance that could affect the timely support of production & program cost targets is considered & properly vetted prior to acceptance of the change Negotiate the best commercial and technical package for procurement requirements, incorporating cost-out, value-add and simplification opportunities from the supply base Communicate and coordinate activities as required cross-functionally, including Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal and Manufacturing Presents to senior leaders in specific purchasing space and on cross functional teams on how purchasing contributes to overall strategy Assists in the continuous development of the Procurement function towards best practices Advise Functional managers or other Functions regarding approaches, processes and procedures within supply base Has a role as a project leader of medium sized projects or is a major contributor to bigger projects Lead Commodity Management Specialist (contract) Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college Minimum of 4 years of experience in Sourcing Experience managing the entire life cycle of a supplier relationship Proven Strong quantitative and data analysis skills Proven ability to manage complex projects and improve processes Change agent with ability to influence at all levels of the organization Strong oral and written communication skills Proven ability to lead in a matrixed organization If you are interested in this Lead Commodity Management Specialist (contract) job in Baltimore, MD, please apply via the "apply now" link provided.
