This is a reality for AbbVie's Experiential Interns.The Office of Safety Operations is a highly diverse department that plays a critical role in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing high-priority analytical strategies, cross-functional safety process improvement projects, business process initiatives, and post marketing and clinical safety oversight. The team is a high-profile high-impact team that works with PPS functions on a range of product initiatives. As a member of the team, the Intern will work with leaders to identify critical priorities and drive high-value projects that make an impact on our performance and the safety of patients.The Safety Operations Intern plays a critical role on a team that leads the operations of collecting and interpreting patient data in the safety process. The team works on a range of critical initiatives across functions and geography while maintaining a high level of process efficiency and quality of information.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist with ongoing continuous improvement projects, e.g., streamlining current processes according to quality and GxP standards
  • Provide support for training and automation efforts
  • Gain a business understanding of the team to aid in supporting the department's mission of delivering quality services
  • Develop communications, using change management practices
  • Support user acceptance testing for system improvementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare, Medical Sciences or related field
    • Must be enrolled in university during the internship period
