Position Overview
A central and critical role on Diligents growing team, this experienced marketer will be responsible for the day-to-day management, execution, and operation of the companys global email campaigns in Marketo. The Director of Email Marketing will lead the Marketing Operations Email Center of Excellence, driving growth and applying best practices to Diligents email strategy and operations for all brands of Diligents Global Marketing, Demand Generation, and Customer Success teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop the companys applied email marketing strategies across all brands, leading a team of email specialists in the day-to-day design, execution, and optimization of emails on behalf of Diligents Global Marketing, Demand Generation, and Customer Success teams. Deliver presentations on strategy, email performance, and audience insights Mentor and train employees in email strategy Act as an email evangelist within the company to promote a test-and-learn culture and propose how new tools and technologies can improve performance Create best-in-class Marketo email templates Lead the strategy for A/B Testing and optimize for conversion Own the global email calendar and ensure intended communication streams across different customer/prospect groups are maintained through business units and the center of excellence Develop targeted, data-driven, email nurture campaigns across brands and in multiple languages Manage email distribution lists for customers and prospects for accuracy, data quality, and GDPR/Can-Spam Compliance Generate and analyze email marketing data and use to optimize future campaigns Manage email deliverability by ensuring Diligent meets the technical requirements to maintain a favorable email reputation Educate stakeholders on industry-standard email best practices and align our processes to adhere to those best practices Develop standardized email reporting templates and provide them to stakeholders as needed Manage Diligents global subscription center Stand up a dedicated IP and roll out IP Warming
Required Experience
5+ years as an Email Marketing or Demand Generation Manager 3+ years of staff management experience with development and mentoring experience 3+ years using Marketo, Eloqua, or Pardot. Marketo Certified Expert Certificate preferred. Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing marketing test and control experiments Experience in implementing and maintaining GDPR/CAN-Spam compliance practices Experience managing a subscription center Knowledge of IP Warming best practices Highly organized with outstanding communication skills Strong writing and grammar skills Email template design, testing, and optimization Technology background with experience in deliverability, inbox placement, and email reputation Experience with HTML, CSS, and advanced Excel Bachelors degree in Marketing or relevant field
