Off Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dedicated and
experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The
successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance,
repair, and inspection of various types of fleet vehicles including
tractors, trailers, converter dollies, and light duty vehicles. You
will also be responsible for conducting oil changes, equipment
inspections, and maintaining an accurate inventory of parts. This
role demands a high level of technical expertise, a commitment to
quality, and a deep understanding of safety standards and
regulations. Responsibilities: Perform regular preventative
maintenance inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors,
trailers, converter dollies, and light duty vehicles. Diagnose and
repair mechanical and electrical issues in a timely and efficient
manner. Maintain an accurate inventory of parts and ensure proper
charge out of parts to work orders. Comply with all FMCSRs, DOT
Compliance, and OSHA requirements. Perform oil changes, brake
inspections, and other routine maintenance tasks. Use maintenance
software to create and complete work orders. Work in various
weather conditions and lift heavy objects as part of daily duties.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. 2 years of
school and 2 years of experience or 4 years of experience in fleet
maintenance and repair. Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical
training. ASE certification required. Brake Inspector
Certification. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Current valid
driver's license and reliable transportation. Must have own tools.
Ability to work in inclement weather conditions outside. Knowledge
and understanding of FMCSRs and DOT Compliance. Knowledge of OSHA
requirements. Air brake certification or ability to get a
certification. Experience performing inspections on all fleet
vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, & light
duty vehicles. Experience with electrical diagnostics, repair, and
replacement. Experience with physical parts purchasing, inventory,
receiving, and proper charge out of parts to work orders.
Maintenance Software experience. Creating and completing work
orders. Quality preventative maintenance inspections. Oil changes.
Equipment inspections. Tractors. Trailers. Converter dollies.
Lift-gates. Light duty vehicles. Requires 5 years of experience.
