Job Description Job Description Estimator - Civil Job Title: Estimator - Civil Job Location: Manassas, VA Richmond, VA Dublin, OH (Multiple Openings) Base Salary: $100K-150K Requirements: 5 Years of estimating experience on industrial and commercial projects. Background using Agtek required. Position Overview The Estimator - Civil will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects including grading, earthwork, and site development. This role will involve analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates while ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines. Key Responsibilities - Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work. - Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for civil projects including grading, earthwork, and utilities. - Utilize AGTEK software for earthwork and sitework calculations. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing. - Analyze historical data to develop benchmarks for labor, materials, and overhead costs. - Participate in bid meetings and present estimates to stakeholders. - Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates on cost forecasts. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. - Proven experience as an estimator in the civil construction industry. - Proficiency in AGTEK and other estimating software. - Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices. - Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. - Strong communication and negotiation skills.
