Job Description Job Description Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in maintaining safe, well-kept buildings and community spaces? Position Title: Maintenance Worker (Full-Time) Employment Type: Full-Time Work Hours: 40 hours per week Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (8 hours per day) Position Definition This position involves skilled and varied mechanical maintenance work related to the upkeep of buildings and community grounds. The role requires the use of proper methods, tools, and materials to complete tasks efficiently and safely. Employees work with limited supervision while reporting to a working foreman. General Description of Work Performed Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Replace window glass, windows, and door screens Prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting Apply interior and exterior paint and finishes Repair spouting, plaster, faucets, closet tanks, and bowls Clear clogged drains and pipes Repair electrical switches and outlets Connect and disconnect gas and electric ranges Operate power mowers, tractors, and small trucks Adjust and maintain hand and power mowers Operate snow removal equipment Perform general indoor and outdoor building and grounds maintenance tasks as assigned Qualifications Knowledge of standard practices, tools, and materials used in general building and grounds maintenance Skill in the proper care and use of maintenance tools and equipment Ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and the public Sufficient physical strength and stamina to perform required tasks consistently and satisfactorily Position Requirements Ability to read and write in the English language Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations Ability to accurately transfer information between documents Ability to perform basic routine office tasks Ability to follow prescribed policies and procedures Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
