Job Description Job Description Construction Internship Job Summary: Job Description: The Construction Intern assists the construction team in day-to-day management of the construction site. This includes document control, field surveys, special inspections, and QA/QC checks. The Construction Intern will be an integral part of our team, helping to deliver projects with an exceptional combination of quality, cost, and schedule. Reports to: Construction Manager Wage Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt Job Responsibilities: The Construction Intern will be responsible for the following: General Conditions & Site Standards Support Construction-Facing: Support the Senior Project Manager (SPM) and Superintendent in maintaining exceptional general conditions across the jobsite Monitor site cleanliness, organization, and curb appeal daily Assist with enforcing trade cleanup and site order Help ensure protection of completed work and materials Support safety initiatives, signage placement, and hazard identification Resident-Facing & Public Areas: Support Asset Management and Property Management Teams when construction occurs in occupied or public-facing areas Assist with managing temporary signage, access coordination, cleanliness, etc to minimize resident disruption Confidently enforce rules that minimize disruption: working hours, subcontractor behavior (for example, no music, truck idling, etc) Report any issues quickly to SPM or Superintendent Quality Control & Field Verification Work with the Construction, Design and Asset Management Teams to ensure work is built in accordance with plans, specifications, and Post Brothers’ quality standards Perform daily checklist based walkthroughs as assigned by SPM or Superintendent Flag any non-conforming or incomplete work for SPM/Superintendent review Help track quality issues to resolution to prevent rework or delays Punchlist Management & Problem-Area Closeout Support Support the development, tracking, and closeout of punchlist items with Construction, Design and Asset Management Teams Assist in documenting punchlist items by trade and location Track completion status and follow up with subcontractors Verify corrections in the field and report progress to the project team Field Documentation Assist SPM and Superintendent with field documentation including photos, video and drone-based photography. Maintain organized files for photos, etc. Safety Awareness & Compliance Support Support enforcement of site safety standards and compliance. Observe work for unsafe conditions and report concerns immediately Assist with maintaining safety signage and site controls Participate in safety meetings and field training as required Additional Requirements: Attendance is an imperative job function Employees must fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with policies, rules and procedures of the company, including those set out in the Employee Handbook or otherwise communicated (verbally or writing) to employees.
