Constellation, a leader in sustainable energy solutions across the U.S., is looking for a skilled Journeyman specializing in HVAC installation to join our team. This role involves both technical prowess and physical dexterity in installing various HVAC systems in a timely and efficient manner to meet our high standards of installation and customer satisfaction. As part of our skilled labor team, you will work directly with groundbreaking energy management solutions, contributing to projects that provide environmentally conscious and efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to a range of clients. Read and interpret system blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the placement of ducts, pipes, and equipment. Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners. Inspect and maintain existing HVAC systems as needed. Collaborate with electrical engineers and other trades to meet building specifications and codes. Test installed HVAC units to ensure they meet manufacturer standards and state regulations. Provide technical direction and on-site leadership to apprentices and helpers. Communicate with customers, providing service explanations and ensuring a clean job site following installations. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems including diagnostics, installation, and maintenance. Ability to effectively use manual and power tools pertinent to the HVAC trade. Strong understanding of state health and safety regulations. Excellent technical skills with an eye for detail in handling repairs and maintenance. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
