St. John the Evangelist Catholic School, seeks candidates for the position of Principal to begin July 1, 2021. St. John School, named a 2017 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education, is a fully accredited Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.St. John School resides in the beautiful Long Green Valley of Baltimore County but straddles the Harford County border, serving students from preschool (3-year old) through Grade 8 from communities in both counties. St. John the Evangelist School prepares students for success by providing a strong academic program, formation in Christian values and service, and diverse extra-curricular activities.The Principal is ultimately responsible for overseeing an instructional plan that is consistent with the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of the school. The Principal will implement the educational ministry of St. Stephen Catholic School ensuring its Catholic identity. The Principal reports to the Pastor and the Superintendent of Catholic Schools.Qualifications:* Practicing Catholic with a demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education* MSDE Admin II certification* A minimum of five years certified teaching experience at the elementary level* Three years of certified elementary (K-8) teaching experience in a Catholic School* Prior experience as an Assistant Principal/Principal preferred
