We are currently seeking an assistant/associate faculty position for our level IV NICU in University of Maryland Medical Center. In addition to the main campus level IV NICU, coverage includes two level III regional NICUs with 15-26 beds.As the oldest public medical school in the United States, the University of Maryland School of Medicine has an established tradition of outstanding clinical care, education, and research.   • The candidate will have a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Maryland School of Medicine at the academic level commensurate with experience.
  • An essential component of the position will be the education of our departmental residents and NICU fellows.
  • The successful candidate should be BC/BE, with excellent teaching and clinical skills. In addition to clinical duties, neonatologists have an opportunity to participate in clinical and translational research and quality improvement projects.

        • Medical degree or foreign equivalent.
        • Completion of Residency training in Pediatrics
        • Completion of Fellowship training in Neonatology
        • Maryland medical license or eligible for Maryland medical license.
        • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
        • Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.
        • Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
