Overview The Readiness Analyst provides analytical and programmatic
expertise to Army G-8 leadership by evaluating equipping readiness
and identifying systemic shortfalls across Army units.
Responsibilities include conducting data trend analysis, reviewing
JCIDS and acquisition documentation, and formulating solutions that
enhance unit readiness while maintaining alignment with Army
modernization priorities. Using tools such as ARMS, AE2S, and
business intelligence platforms, the analyst develops resourcing
options, produces senior leader briefings, and supports
decision-making in forums including SPAR, POM, and Army Readiness
reviews. With specialized expertise in readiness analysis and force
development, the analyst delivers actionable insights that
strengthen operational capability and resource planning. Essential
Job Function 1. Requirements and Acquisition Oversight Apply JCIDS
(AR 71-9, CJCSI 3170.01) and Defense Acquisition System (DoDI
5000.2) processes. Review and analyze JCIDS/acquisition documents
for Army and Joint boards (AROC, JROC, JCB, FCB, etc.). Prepare DCS
G-8 leadership with recommended positions, supporting analysis, and
documentation. 2. Data Analysis and Business Intelligence Extract
and analyze data from Army resource systems (AE2S-M, CAMS, LAQA,
ETR, LQA, cQUIP, AESIP, ECOP, FMSWeb, cPROBE). Develop Business
Intelligence/automation tools (SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, MS
365) to support force development and reporting. Perform trend
analysis of readiness and equipping data, coordinating with ACOMs,
AMC, and G-4. 3. Program and Resource Management Support Army
programming, budgeting, and execution (POM, PPBE, SPAR). Develop
investment and funding options, prioritizing RDT&E and
procurement. Validate AAO/APO requirements, assess
congressional/PDM impacts, and manage distribution/allocation
planning with ASC (LMI). 4. Force Development and Modernization
Contribute to modernization strategies (ReARMM, MDO, AimPoint,
NDS). Support TAA, FFR, AMEC, and ASRC processes to resolve
shortfalls and modernize force capabilities. Conduct
interoperability assessments of modernization levels to ensure
aligned capability development. 5. Readiness Analysis and Reporting
Analyze equipping readiness, identify systemic shortfalls, and
propose solutions to increase S-level unit readiness. Investigate
Army Equipment on Hand (EOH) issues and coordinate corrective
actions. Support monthly readiness updates for Army and DCS G-8
leadership, including briefing book preparation. 6. Leadership
Support and Coordination Provide timely assessments, information
papers, EXSUMs, and smart books (including four-hour responses when
required). Coordinate with ASA(ALT), Army Staff, ACOMs, ASCCs, and
Joint organizations on readiness, modernization, and equipping.
Review assigned policies and regulations for equipping equities,
recommending edits for government approval. 7. Strategic
Communication and Documentation Develop program briefings, budget
justifications, and strategic communication plans. Maintain
situational awareness of assigned programs and provide leadership
with decision-support documentation. Prepare and quality-check
briefing products for senior leader decision forums. Minimum
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree of higher in Business or
Engineering field A minimum of two (2) years of experience and
expertise in Force Development duties Secret Clearance required
Ability to conduct in-depth analysis of Army and unit equipping
readiness, identifying equipment readiness issues proposing
solution sets. Must be able to identify the root causes of Army
Equipment on Hand (EOH) un- readiness and systemic reported
equipment shortages as recorded by the Army Readiness Management
System (ARMS). Ability to perform data trend analysis that includes
coordination and staffing with ACOMs, G-4 and AMC. Proficient in MS
Office Products that include MS Word, MS Access MS Power Point and
MS Excel. The contractor will be able to use MS Excel to use
formulas and functions to manipulate data (pivot tables), create
charts and graphs to visualize information and analyze large
datasets to extract meaningful insights Interdisciplinary skill set
of PPBE, DOD acquisition processes and procedures (DoDI 5000.2) as
well as expertise with materiel and /or force structure
requirements development and validation (JCIDS). Desired
Qualifications Understanding and/or completion of the following
HTAR; RQM 1010/ CLR 101; RQM 1100 series / RQM 110; RQM 3100/310;
CLR 151; RQM 2500/CLR 250; RQM 2520/CLR 252; Certified in related
