We are currently seeking a n Insider Threat Program Engineer to deploy, implement, tune, and maintain the security tools used to detect and respond to Insider Threat Behavior. The position will have a dual reporting role into the Insider Threat Program Director within the Cyber Risk function and Head of-- Cyber security Engineering within the Cyber Tech function . This Engineer is expected to play an integral role in implementing and maturing Insider Threat Program capabilities . Also improving the efficiency of investigations through increase visibility, consolidation of tools and alerts, and automation where possible . Primary Responsibilities include:-- Act as subject matter expert (SME) spokesperson for all technical aspects of the Insider Threat Program Operations Provid ing system engineering, security engineering, programmatic integration, technical support documents, and expert assistance on solutions to enable the insider threat program operations and coordination Working with architecture to deploy and implement solutions as securely and effectively as possible Aggregate, analyze, and evaluate technical data sources to identify insider risks Defining tool requirements for ER Evaluating tools for efficacy and interoperability with existing tool set s (data sources) Integrating new data sources with existing detection tools-- Support ing testing, implementation, and updating of insider threat detection rules and policies as needed Owning the maintenance, testing, patching and change management processes for all tools related to the insider threat tool stack Perform ing independent technical assessments to ensure the processes, procedures, and designs of the insider threat detection systems remain effective, accurate, functional, and secure Offering mentoring and guidance on technical insider threat- related matters, methodologies, and techniques both within the team and to external partners across the Enterprise Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years of experience providing engineering support for cybersecurity tools Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and referral partners High level of integrity and confidentiality Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and effectively manage time to get maximum results. Ability to translate business process needs into technical requirements Experience creating, updating, and maintaining technical documentation on supported tools Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience in a related field Critical thinker and creative problem solver who can efficiently identify the root causes of an issue and implement mitigating solutions Familiarity with implementing technical controls across an organization's security stack Preferred Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience providing engineering support and leadership for cybersecurity tools Knowledge of insider threat indicators, including writing detection rules in SIEM , UEBA, or other related tools Experience using Project Management tracking software to drive progress, create awareness around dependencies and risks, and enhance accountability Strong expertise with database concepts, and SQL queries/DBMS preferred Experience in f inancial services industry is a plus Experience in data science and analytics is a plus E xperience with cloud security and monitoring tools in various cloud environments (Amazon AWS/Microsoft Azure) Cybersecurity Tech , a team within OneMain's Technology department , is a fast-growing team focused on providing expert insight into risk, developing team members, and effective oversight of cybersecurity and technology risk.
