Sector is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to join our team of
qualified, diverse individuals supporting the Baltimore Center of
Excellence (CoE) factory quality operations based in Linthicum,
Maryland. The qualified applicant will be a leading voice for
Quality in the AIMS manufacturing cell.Roles and
Responsibilities:The Quality Engineer -Operates successfully in a
team atmosphere - interfacing with both internal and external
stakeholders and customersEngages in production floor activities -
monitors manufacturing processes, performs quality assessments and
audits, and reviews non-conforming materialProvides engineering
support for the inspection organizationFacilitates Preventive &
Corrective Action Board (PCAB) process including data gathering,
analysis, and presentationSolves problems by relentlessly pursuing
root cause and driving for effective solutionsUses LEAN concepts
and Six Sigma tools as aides to problem resolutionMaintains and
continuously develops technical knowledge in quality engineering,
specifications/standards, drawing interpretation, measurement and
analysis methods, processes and products, relevant technologies,
and problem solving methodologyAssists with the training of new
personnel and participates in the design of training materialsHas a
working knowledge of MS Office ApplicationsBasic
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM discipline5+
years of relevant work experience (or 3+ years with a Master's
Degree)Experience evaluating electrical, mechanical, and/or
electro-mechanical systems for compliance to drawings,
specifications, and standardsMust be able to obtain and maintain a
Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship required.Preferred
Qualifications:Master's degree in EngineeringExperience working in
an IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 environmentExperience working in
an electronics manufacturing environmentCertifications in lean and
six-sigma quality engineering methodologiesComputer Skills: Python,
SQLExperience with CAD Software applicationsMAQEASalary Range:
$90,600 USD - $136,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
