Nature of WorkHarford County Government is actively seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to fill a critical planning, design, and capacity management opening within the Department of Public Works - Division of Water & Sewer. This key position will lead/participate in important and innovative planning, capacity analysis, design, and construction projects for Harford County's public water and sewer system. Note that Harford County Government's Civil Engineer classification for this advertised position has two distinct and progressively responsible levels. The Department of Public Works - Division of Water & Sewer is actively recruiting to fill a position in one of the following classifications: Civil Engineer ICivil Engineer IIThrough the recruitment process, a determination will be made on which position will be offered to a candidate, based upon the candidate's skills and abilities as it relates to the minimum qualification requirements for each position listed above. Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, such as a Bachelor's of Engineering Technology, or Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, supplemented by civil engineering courses.EXPERIENCENone required LICENSEPossession of a valid Class "C" non-commercial driver's license with no more than three (3) points.
