Job Description:
Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is
currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals
for Senior Test Engineer positions with an engineering-driven
electronics contract manufacturing organization specializing in the
design and manufacture of highly complex electronic and RF circuit
cards and assemblies.
Position Details
Location: Baltimore, MD
Compensation: $80K-$100K
Shift: M-F, 8:00 - 4:00 P.M (hours may vary)
Travel: Less than 10%

Position Description
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be a key player in supporting
the test execution of a motherboard/upper-level assembly
interfacing with common PC peripheral functions. This includes PCI
Express, SATA, USB, Ethernet, and more. Your tasks involve
executing test plans, troubleshooting complex component circuitry,
and collaborating closely with team members across development
phases. You will also set up and use standard or automated test
equipment for functional, operational, environmental, and life
tests to ensure the performance and reliability of assemblies.
Analyzing test results and making necessary repairs or adjustments
based on your analysis are critical components of this role.
Additionally, you will continuously recommend improvements to test
procedures for more efficient testing and assembly processes.
Position Requirements
--- BS or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
discipline (EE/EET/ME preferred) or equivalent military training in
Electronics Engineering Technology or related field with 5 years of
experience.
--- High-speed digital design/debugging experience.
--- Strong component-level troubleshooting skills.
--- Familiarity with high-speed digital oscilloscopes and protocol
analyzers.
--- Knowledge of SERDES verification and qualification (a
plus).
--- Understanding of electrical test methodology, equipment, and
result validation criteria.
--- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
--- Hand-soldering and rework experience (desirable).
--- General understanding of printed wiring assembly production
(desirable but not required).
--- Familiarity with at least three of the following disciplines:
solid-state electronics, microprocessor applications, digital
logic, digital design, communications systems, or related
fields.
--- Effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
--- Positive attitude and teamwork orientation.
--- Availability and willingness to work alternate shifts when
necessary.
--- Good color perception, eyesight, ability to use magnification
aids, strong hand-eye coordination, ability to lift up to 40 pounds
comfortably, and performing tasks such as sitting, using hands,
reaching, bending, twisting, and verbal communication
regularly.
