Northrop Grumman Missions Systems is seeking experienced engineers
in the following areas: Antennas, Receiver/Exciter,
Electromagnetics, Computational Electromagnetics, RF/Microwave
design, Digital beam-forming, Hardware/Subsystem Integration and
Test, and Antenna Control DesignThe qualified candidate will work
with a diverse and talented team of engineers developing innovative
and cost-effective systems that support a broad range of products
and business areas across the lifecycle of a programApplicants
should be able to apply advanced technical principles, theories,
and concepts while contributing to the development of new
principles and conceptsResponsibilities may include development of
antenna architectures, receiver / exciter architectures,
requirements generation/flow down; subsystem analysis including
hardware from RF to digits, performance modeling, support for
performance testing, requirements verification, and moreWork will
be performed under consultative direction toward predetermined
long-range goals and objectivesAssignments are often
self-initiatedExperienced applicants will have at least a
Bachelor's Degree in Science or other related technical degree and
have experience designing, developing and/or testing radio
frequency (RF) and/or microwave antenna systems and/or related RF
hardwareCandidates should have the ability to work on unusually
complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly
innovative and ingeniousIn addition, this candidate should have
demonstrated technical ability/leadership and expertise in one or
more of the following areas:
* Active electronically scanned arrays (AESAs)
* Receiver/Exciters
* Highly integrated subsystems including antenna and
receive/exciter hardware
* Reflectors, Reflect Arrays, Digital Beam Forming
* Antenna/RF Performance Analysis
* Computational Electromagnetics, Statistics
* Antenna or Subsystem Control Design
* Antenna Measurements and Data Reduction
* Antenna range integration, test, and system integration
* Subsystem requirements (hardware and software) derivation,
flow-down, and configuration
* Familiarity working with embedded real time software and digital
systems
* Familiarity with firmware development tool suites including
Quartus and Vivado
* Comfortable creating test support applications and tools using
MATLAB, python, etc
* Experience with agile software development methodologies
including Scrum and Kanban--- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite,
GitThe Engineering RF Microwave Design positions require the
candidates to have the ability to obtain and maintain at least a
Secret Clearance per business requirementsAn active Secret or
higher clearance is a plus! Basic Qualifications:--- Must have a
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 14
years of experience in the areas described in the job description
or 12 years of experience with a Master's Degree and/or 9 years of
experience with a PhD.
* Ability to develop highly novel solutions to a broad variety of
RF/Microwave design and test related problems of complex difficulty
which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
* Established subject matter expertise in numerous areas of
RF/Microwave discipline including but not limited to: Antenna, RF
components & assemblies, requirements development, EM and related
modeling & simulation, RF test verification, production test
support, and design for producibility
* Exhibit expert proficiency with industry standard RF/Microwave
modeling, simulation and printed circuit board design tools
(i.eANSYS HFSS/Maxwell, CST Microwave, Eagleware/Genesys, Keysight
ADS, Xpedition, Altium, FEKO, TICRA)
* Staff Engineers should have a demonstrated ability in technical
and team leadership overseeing engineers with experience at least
at the SrPrincipal level.
* US Citizenship is required
* Proven knowledge of electrical engineering design software and
equipment
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to design, implement, install and maintain electrical
systems
* Technical Team Leadership
* Must obtain interim secret (minimum) prior to starting
* AMC Advanced Program Award prior to candidate starting Preferred
Qualifications:--- TS/SCISalary Range: $157,000 - $236,300 The
above salary range represents a general guideline; however,
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining
base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the
position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and
current market conditionsEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base payAnnual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company resultsEmployees in Vice President or
Director positions may be eligible for Long Term IncentivesIn
