is seeking a talented *Principal Quality Engineer *to join our team

career. *Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * *
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and
control systems and protocols for processing materials into
partially finished or finished materials product. * Collaborates
with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality
standards are in place. * Devises and implements methods and
procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and
accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes
inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment;
conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis
to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for,
products or materials that do not meet required standards and
specifications. * Audits quality systems for deficiency
identification and correction. * Ensures that corrective measures
meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is
compliant with requirements. * May specialize in the areas of
design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation
and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development
as they apply to product or process quality. * May be certified in
lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies. *Basic
Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 5
years of industry experience in one or more areas: Design
Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission/Quality Engineering;
3 Years with a Master's * Excellent written and verbal
interpersonal, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills and
confidence to brief upper management on a regular basis. *
Proficiency in Microsoft Office * Secret Clearance * Ability to
prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced and high-pressure
environment. * Work well in a team environment * Experience with
SAP/MES transactions. * US Citizenship required. *Preferred
Qualifications:* * Project management/project lead experience *
Experience facilitating effective Root Cause Corrective Action
(RCCA) * Active DoD top secret clearance * Green/Black Belt
Certified in Lean Six-sigma * Data Analytics and Statistical
Analysis methods and techniques. * Experience using Microsoft
Excel, Minitab, Tableau, or equivalent tools for statistical
analysis. * Familiarity with Drive for Excellence (DFX), Zero
Defects Program (ZDP) supplier quality and sustainment concepts. *
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Root Cause
Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques * IPC-A-610 Certified IPC
Specialist (CIS) and/or MIL-STD-883 Certified. * Familiarity with
IPC-A-600, 620, IPC-J-STD-001, Mil-Perf-38534/35 and Mil-Std-750. *
SAP familiarity with Quality Notifications, Production Orders and
Purchase Orders. * Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 Quality
Management System and First Article Inspections (FAI) AS9102.
*Salary Range: *$93,000 - $139,600 The above salary range
represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers
a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the
scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays
and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The
