Job Description:
This Position is Subject to Contract Award JANUS Research Group
is currently seeking a Counter IED SSO for a contract to support
the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8. The DCS G-8 is the principal
military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) and the
Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and
Comptroller (ASA(FMC)) for the Programming phase of the Planning,
Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The DCS, G-8
coordinates with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition,
Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) on all proposed programming
and process recommendations related to ongoing and future
acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. The
DCS, G-8 coordinates with Army Futures Command (AFC) for program
funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization
enterprise. Position Description: Develops and writes
implementation plans for the Counter-Improvised Explosive Device
(C-IED) Research and Development Executive Agent. Provides
analytical, technical, and operational expertise supporting the
Army EA Secretariat through reports, briefings, and working groups.
Leads coordination of meetings, executive summaries, and
information papers for Army and OSD review. Maintains cooperative
relationships across all C-IED stakeholders. Relevant Competencies
/ Skill Levels: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Business
A minimum of four (4) years of experience and expertise in Force
Development duties; Demonstrate an understanding and tactical and
operational experience in Army units with the following types of
equipment: Engineer (Tactical Bridging, Construction, Mines and
Munitions, Counter Explosive Hazard, Engineer Support Construction,
Engineer Command and Control, Sets/Kits/Outfits), Military Police
(MP), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), and Chemical, Biological,
