Job DescriptionWhat You---ll Get to Do:The Training and Access
Manager serves in a key position supporting a transitioning network
security platform, and reporting directly to the U.S. Government
Project Manager. This position is responsible for the development
and review of training/course materials, tracking certifications,
and making revisions to curriculum based on legal and policy
updates to the platform capability. This position requires specific
experience as a training specialist or manager with the U.S.
government or large company. --Ideal candidates will have
experience or knowledge of network security or other training
experience in cybersecurity, offensive or defensive cyber
operations, or other cyber network
operations.Responsibilities:Serves as the Training Manager for a
transitioning network security platform, and will develop and
revise content for operational user orientation and training, and
subsequent training needs for government and industry users to
include remedial training as required, as well as monitor and
evaluate the effectiveness of training provided;Develop training
materials required for the project, as well as design or redesign
course outline, content, training materials, and aids to meet the
needs of the audience and to ensure comprehension and retention of
the information provided.Develops training content to ensure that
quality provisions are planned, developed, and implemented to
identify, prevent, and correct unsatisfactory conditions and
elements which influence the operational use of the
capability.Develops lesson plans, visual aids, and other training
aides as well as makes recommendations for the improvement of
training materials and visual aids.Monitors training metrics on a
regular basis and make recommendations to the Project Manager on
content and the effectiveness of training modules.Analyzes segments
of processes, and identifies indicators, progress measures,
objectives and emphasize areas for action for improvement.Validates
authorization to training materials and training databasesManages
certifications of authorized personnel to the production system,
archival systems and training databases.Coordinates with legal and
policy SMEs to answer ambiguous policies and student questions or
concerns.EXPERIENCEExamples of specialized experience would
typically include, but are not limited to the following:Experience
in providing training presentations to managers, supervisors and
employees in a cybersecurity or cyber operations
environment;Experienced in the use of developing training to
support network security techniques in test or development
environments;Training skills involves, technical, administrative,
professional, operating, or supporting services and training
programs to relate to the cybersecurity needs of commercial
industry, particularly in support of the Defense Industrial Base
(DIB).Experience as subject matter expert on cybersecurity network
protection, operations, and training.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSMinimum
Bachelor's degree and 10 years experience, with preference in one
of the following fields or related studies:Computer ScienceCyber
SecurityInformation SystemsInformation AssuranceMust complete or
must have previously completed industry recognized cybersecurity
training courses such as Comp TIA Security+, GIAC Security
Essential Certification (GSEC) or related courses.Must possess a
broad knowledge of cyberspace capabilities availability and
understanding of available infrastructure or platforms.Demonstrate
an understanding of information security beyond simple terminology
and concepts through one or more industry recognized network
security certifications (any): CISSP, CEH, GCIH, Network+,
Security+, A+, CCNA or similar industry recognized
certificationsKnowledge of adversary activities in cyberspace with
an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and
procedures (TTP)Familiarity with Advanced Persistent Threat (APT)
activity as well as indicators of compromiseAbility to analyze
cyber threat products that assist in identifying threats,
priorities, severities, and IA risk mitigation measuresAbility to
perform data analysis, aggregation, event correlation and
information security threat definitionAbility to work effectively
in a fast-paced environment with competing prioritiesStrong
interpersonal skillsMust possess a SECRET clearance at time of
hire, with an ability to obtain TOP SECRET/SCICOMPETENCIESCustomer
Service : Engage with diverse group of Government and commercial
employees, management, internal & external customers and
operational users; collaborate with the government customer---s
training academy;Teaching Others: Review course objectives,
outlines, and available training materials, or consults with
subject matter expert when developing training; Monitors training
compliance and track certifications of successful completion of
training modules; Develops standardized courses that are
specifically tailored to tasks performed by operational users of
the system; Develops, monitors and ensures compliance with
performance measures;Problem Solving: Collaborating with project
leadership and community users in formulating and developing
training program needs and identifying new requirements; Identify
training needs, develops findings, and make training
recommendations;Administration and Management: Performs as the
Training Manager for a network security platform and develop/revise
content for operational user orientation and training based on
legal and policy updates to the system capabilities; Develops
recommendations that address amendments to or elimination of
procedures, regulations, and instructions to improve the efficiency
and effectiveness of the training program; Evaluates and modifies
instructional program and course curriculum, content, and
materials, and research procedural changes as mandated by new
requirements and policy;TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSLocal off-site travel up
to 1x per week within the-- Washington, DC area to include but not
limited to Fort Meade, Maryland; Pentagon, Virginia; Quantico,
Virginia; Chantilly, Virginia; and Arlington, VirginiaWhat We Can
