Job Description:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing production, distribution and warehousing of our products. The Operations Manager will be a motivated, hands-on leader with a strong customer focus. Food Production and Warehousing experience preferred! RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure plant safety through compliance of safety standards as issued
• Serve as the liaison between the USDA and FDA and the company
• Achieve compliance for product quality, food safety, and food defense while maintaining overall plant efficiency
• Supervise the operations of protein processing personnel to all processes are within budget and time schedule
• Oversee the hiring, orienting, and training of employees to ensure the company is meeting or exceeding both internal and external company expectations.
• Evaluate productivity levels, identify, recommend, and implement new strategies for improved efficiencies
• Schedule an ongoing maintenance plan of all equipment and vehicles to ensure efficient operations
• Utilize the company's warehouse management system and other available technologies to maximize productivity and inventory control
• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
• Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures
• Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures
• Provide necessary technical support, training, and resources to meet goals
• Develop strategic plans for operational activity and assist in the development of overall company strategic plans REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 4-6 years' experience in operations management
  • Experience with USDA and FDA compliance and facility inspections
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience in management, operations, and leadership
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus
  • Strong mentoring/coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise
  • Able to interact and communicate well with all team members
