Position Summary:

The Assistant AP Manager for LGL will manage the accounts payable team and work closely with LGL Senior Accounting manager and other departments to perform various financial and accounting functions for LGL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing accounts payable team for the processing of payments for all aspects of LGLs payable cycle, including, but not limited to, port accounts, ocean freight, line haul and other accessorial invoices.
Prepare and analyze cash flow projections for advance port calls and various invoice payments.
Organize and produce monthly and quarterly budget reports for the management and executive teams.
Support other financial and accounting matters outside of LGL.
This position will also be involved in various special projects, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Training & Experience

This position requires an undergraduate degree, with an accounting and/or finance concentration or should have a strong accounts payable background (5-8 years) with an advanced understanding and competency in Excel. Although a background in shipping and logistics is not a requirement, the ability to quickly learn the business of LGL is essential.
