Description/Job Summary
Under the direction of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, this
position manages all aspects of the academic curriculum including
maintenance, updates and edits, the evaluation of program value and
success, and the identification and creation of new course and
program offerings. This position supports academic Deans, faculty
and the Director of Assessment in the design and facilitation of
course and program level assessment. The position also provides
direct support to the Vice President of Academic Affairs in efforts
pertaining to accreditation. Assistant Vice President for
Curriculum and Instruction works with academic leadership and the
registrar on efficiencies in academic scheduling, to support
student completion and academic success. The position serves as
part of the Vice President of Academic Affairs leadership team and
will represent the Vice President of on relevant committees and
meetings. The Assistant Vice President for Curriculum and
Instruction provides direction and leadership in the creation of
extensive and meaningful faculty and adjunct development. The
Assistant Vice President for Curriculum and Instruction has direct
supervision of the Director of E-Learning and the Director of the
Library and Learning Commons. The position will have direct
supervision an administrative assistant who serves in the Office of
the Assistant Vice President in Academic Affairs. Functions may
change or be assigned as Academic Affairs responds to realignment
efforts.
