Job Description:

Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, located in Middle River, MD, seeks qualified candidates for a full-time Business Manager position. The Parish Business Manager is responsible for the oversight of financial management, facilities management and compliance with all human resources procedures and policies. This position will handle projects involving construction, security, technology, plant maintenance and safety. The individual collaborates with the pastor, staff members, parishioners and volunteers to complete projects, resolve problems and accomplish the overall parish mission. Job Responsibilities:

• Administer the finances of the parish in consultation with the pastor and the finance committee, implementing all Archdiocesan policies in financial matters
• Responsible for maintaining adequate internal controls and safeguards to ensure efficient stewardship of parish resources
• Oversight responsibility for budget preparations for the parish, in collaboration with the pastor and finance committee
• Perform bi-weekly payroll to include review of time sheets
• Consults with the pastor on business and administrative matters that affect the parish and child care centerQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or finance is preferred
  • Minimum of three to five years in management and operations experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, QuickBooks Online and automated payroll systems, i.e. UltiPro/UKG
