SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
Red Lion is conducting a search for its next Quality Manager. The organization continues to experience a significant amount of change as Red Lion positions itself as THE Industrial Data Company and looks to significantly grow its revenue base both organically as well as through strategic acquisition. Continuous Improvement remains an ever-increasing area of focus as we look for opportunities to drive results in quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity. These areas, coupled with an increasing desire to launch new and innovative products will require an experienced Quality Manager that is able to seamlessly work across organizational boundaries.
The Quality Manager will be a hands-on leader that creates and communicates Red Lion's quality vision, strategy and goals and oversees the quality management system driving continual improvement throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the organization's products and services are in compliance with the company's quality standards and commitments to our customers. The Quality Manager also ensures the Quality Management System is implemented and effective. As Red Lion continues its expansion and growth internationally, the Quality Manager will be instrumental in establishing quality control standards and processes for both local manufacturing (contract or company-owned) and with local suppliers.
QUALITY MANAGER: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and strict adherence to the company's quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Establishes and maintains quality metrics to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization
  • Develops and/or reviews standards, policies, and procedures for all functions and departments involved with or related to the production of all products. The Quality Manager accepts the responsibility for products being in compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of the organization to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods. Reports findings to organization; develops corrective action plans and ensures timely resolution of findings.
  • Reviews and resolves quality control problems/concerns with the others including vendors, customers, quality control personnel, and any personnel related to production. Coordinates and assists with vendor inspections.
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports for internal use and as required by regulatory agencies by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Understanding and utilization of various tools to drive root cause analysis
  • Using data and relevant statistics, determine issues causing quality problems and communicate those reasons - and methodical steps to improve - to the leadership team. Understands, measures and communicates the Cost of Quality.
  • Key participant in, and advocate for, continuous improvement (Spectris Business System) activities and improvement events
  • Evaluate and develop the professional Quality organization ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
    Reports directly to the Vice President of Operations. Supervises, trains, and assists all members of the Quality organization. Directs quality-related activities in conjunction with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, and any other department/function that affects the quality of the organization's goods or services.
    QUALITY MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS
    A bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering or related discipline required as is -7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Management.
    Strongly preferred will be experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
    Must have proven ability to lead a diverse team and influence others at all levels of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels is essential. Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational and managerial skills.
    Demonstrated ability to collaborate across organizational lines and levels.
    Experience with MS-Office products and IFS (ERP system) are extremely helpful.
    Experience with ISO9001:2015 is essential.

      QUALITY MANAGER PHYSICAL DEMANDS
      Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
      No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and fax machines.
      Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems. Able to complete statistical analysis and other analytics as required.
      WORK ENVIRONMENT
      The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer.
