Position Summary

The Subcontracts Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the management of subcontracts for multiple assigned projects. The SPM focuses on the management of subcontracts and balances conflicting demands among project components, allocates resources based on Oceaneering priorities and capacity, and integrates management principles and sound practices to deliver business value aligned with Oceaneering strategic objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages all subcontractors ("subs") across multiple projects:
  - Responsible for managing cost, schedule, performance, and risk; approves Milestones and Deliverables
  
  • Supports projects to ensure subs are meeting requirements:
    - Conducts program reviews with subs (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)
    
    - Responsible for performance of the subs to the project management team
    
    • Ensures subs are managed consistently across assigned projects and acts as single POC for subs and projects
    • Leads a team of matrixed employees to:
      - Review subs proposals and requests for equitable adjustment and approve invoices
      
      - Negotiate subcontracts and modifications and ensure FAR Clauses are flowed down and followed
      
      • Supports Business Development to ensure subs roles and needs are adequately addressed
      • Additional duties as assigned
        
        Qualifications
        
        
        • Bachelor's degree, with a major in an Engineering, Legal, Business, or similar discipline preferred
        • 5+ years of subcontractor management experience. - 3+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects in a technical field
        • Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance. - Experience negotiating contract terms and conditions and understanding of the same
        • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
        • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and work independently
        • Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office Products
