Job Description:
SummaryThis position leads the La Colombe inventory control
program. The Inventory Manager suggests, develops, implements,
leads, and maintains standard process strategies involving
inventory and operational transactions. Works closely with the team
on the accuracy of physical and systemic item movements, with
Finance on inventory adjustments and applicable accruals, with the
Purchasing team on optimizing company-owned inventory levels, and
with the Account Management team on customer inventory
reporting.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and
procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and
production teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management
software (SAP).
- Conduct regular audits and physical inventory counts to
reconcile discrepancies.
- Supervise inventory staff and provide training as
necessary.
- Generate and present regular inventory reports to
management.
- Ensure FIFO is being utilized for all materials.
- Collaborate with IT for the processes needed to support SAP
functions for better tracking of critical metrics.
- Report on Obsolete and slow-moving SKUs for decision on next
steps. Distribute to the appropriate team after a decision is made,
for timely action.
- Coordinate the handling of RMAs (Return Material
Authorizations).
- Follow Chobani's safety procedures and Good Manufacturing
Practices.Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- High proficiency with SAP.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in inventory management and
procurement.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance environment
preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory systems.
- Strong analytical ability and decision-making skills.
- Effective leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop
others.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extensive computer skills including office suite.About
