Description -- CHENEGA WORLDWIDE SUPPORT -- Company Job Title: Sr. Design Manager -- -- Clearance: Secret Location: Baltimore, MD Reports To: Program Manager FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular -- -- -- -- -- Summary: The Sr. Design Manager requires competency in customer focus, change and innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building and influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership. -- Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position) * Design and implement complex and standard engineering solutions. * Train customers and other parties in the use of solutions and basic troubleshooting. * Under supervision, produce parts of detailed design specifications. * Integrate, configure and test software solutions. * Ensure prerequisites, such as design inputs, tools and documentation, are in place prior to commencement of work. * Recommend quality and efficiency improvements as necessary. * Report on project progress and technical issues to project team and project manager. * Provide scope definition and cost data for estimations and proposals * Uses discretion during assessment of area goals and objectives; required to properly assess magnitude of issues, resource requirements, etc. Non-Essential Duties: * Other duties as assigned -- Supervisory Responsibilities: * NONE -- Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) * Bachelor---s Degree in Engineering required * 10 years--- experience required * 5 years with USACE project experience required * Secret Clearance required -- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to direct resources according to established policies and management guidelines; ability to lead and conduct planning/resource management * Solid understanding of the Site Design Process * Ability to interface with cross-functional team members to gain the support required to accomplish team goals/tasks * Considers team diversity during coaching, work assignments, etc. * Ability to determine proper information to provide to market staff.
