** This Position Offers a $30,000 Sign On Bonus**UNIT SUMMARY: ER-7 at Northwest Hospital currently sees over 60,000 patients per year and has 49 beds. The Emergency Department treats major and minor illnesses, typically related to cardiac and behavioral health. Additionally, ER-7 staff may provide care for orthopedic injuries or minor trauma. ER-7 has a rapid care area as well, designated for minor illnesses. Staff members of ER-7 are outgoing and positive, and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, and be able to effectively implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms. Position summary: As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.JOB SUMMARY: Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, and functions as advisor, resource and leader for other members of the patient care team.REQUIREMENTS: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. 2 or more years of experience in clinical specialty. Nursing Certification of specialty area within 3-5 years of hire. 1-3 years of experience. Maryland Registered Nurse License.
