The Program Communications Coordinator is expected to report to and collaborate with the Director of Bloodless Medicine and Surgery to ensure program website is updated on a regular basis for public relations efforts. Ensure that various treatment modalities are explained in the patient section of the website and that these are described in easy-to-understand language. Maintain a frequently updated list of relevant medical publications, internet links and resources related to bloodless medicine care for access by the general patient population and referring healthcare professionals. Provide educational material for physicians, nurses, and other providers on the latest trends and methods of bloodless medicine and surgery. Gather all relevant articles and journals regarding up-to-date information regarding bloodless medicine care. Implement data analytics programs to track patient demographics, web traffic and marketing effectiveness.

Requirements:

Knowledge: Working knowledge and experience using content management systems, social media tools and related Web applications.

Work Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in Bloodless Medicine including collecting, organizing and managing data on patients who decline transfusion. Some experience in event planning and coordination a plus. Experience in reviewing, cataloging, and maintaining written, video and internet resources to build a program library preferred.

Skills: Self-motivated, detail oriented, results-driven personality. Must have strong administrative support skills, including organizing and management of program files. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office to build and maintain media contact database and information archive. Must have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to write clear, concise copy.
