This is an 18-month post-graduate training program for Physician Assistant (PA) delivering hands-on high intensity experience which will include time spent on and off-service rotations. The program prepares qualified PAs with the evidenced-based knowledge, technical skills, and critical thinking abilities required to provide multi-disciplinary and compassionate emergency medicine care. The Resident will be responsible for diagnosing health care problems of patients and developing and implementing treatment plans under the direction of a physician preceptor. Shifts: Full Time (40 hours); Combination 8, 10, & 12-hour variable/rotating shifts; weekends


  • Education: Completion of Master's Degree in a Physician Assistant Program
  • Licensure/Certification: Successful completion of NCCPA certification exam, as well as Maryland licensure as a Physician Assistant is required
  • CDS (prescription) and DEA (narcotics) licensure required
  • Current BLS Healthcare provider and ACLS certification
  • Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership Systems (PECOS) enrollment required
