Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant is providing one on one patient care in community nursing facility in DC or surrounding areas. Provides personal care and perform basic varied duties such as cooking, light housekeeping, shopping/running errands. These activities are performed in accordance with a written assignment and under the RN supervision.Administers health and personal care to patients as ordered on the careplan. Takes and records daily readings as ordered. Provides personal care assisting with ADLs. Assists in preparing meals according to patient's diet and feeding patient when appropriate. Partakes in daily housekeeping duities such as changing patient's linens and managing laundry and clothes as ordered. Assists with patient transfers from bed to chair, chair to bed, etc. if needed. Performs other duties as assigned by the Field Staff Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Current CNA certification licensed with DC certification license with the Department of Health
• Home Health Aide-District of Columbia (DC)
• Active CPR card;
  
  Work Experience:
  
  • At least 6 months experience as a nurse's aide in a hospital or nursing home required.
  • Six (6) months experience as certified nursing assistant or Home Health Aide preferred.

    • Shifts and hours can vary based on patient needs
