Job Description:
Stadium Place Nursing & Rehab Center - Positions Summary:
Operating in accordance with established department policies and
procedures, standards of practice, and applicable federal, state,
and local rules and regulations, designs, directs, and implements
the rehabilitation program for the facility. -
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the organization, administration, and supervision
of all Rehab programs and staff.
Responsible for the requisition of supplies and equipment as needed
for use in the department. Consults with administration for
planning and development expansion.
Monitors compliance of physicians' requests for therapy per state
and federal regulations.
Assures departmental cleanliness, infection control, equipment
stocking, condition, and calibration.
Responsible for hiring, orientation, assignment, and supervision of
new staff therapists, assistants, students, or volunteers.
Instructs the resident or family members, nursing personnel, and
others with respect to rehab protocols and safety precautions.
Provides scheduling and operational tasks for managing PT, OT, and
ST caseloads. Responsible for maximizing management of Medicare and
insurance programs in compliance with all state and federal
regulations.
Performs all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.
Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary.
Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work
assignments as defined by departmental and facility needs.
Represents the facility in a manner that conveys professionalism,
confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and
respect for the fundamental rights, dignity, personal comfort, and
privacy of others.

Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school with a degree in Physical
Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Pathology, with at least 3
years experience in geriatrics and management preferred.
Must have a sincere desire to work with the aged, disabled, and
infirmed and a willingness to function as part of an
interdisciplinary team.
Must be able to effectively communicate with older adults in a
manner that conveys warmth and professionalism.

Licenses and/or Certification:
Licensed to practice PT/PTA, OT/COTA, or Speech Pathology in
Maryland or eligible for licensure. -
