Modeling and Predictive Analytics in Annapolis , Maryland As a

Health Impact (PHI) Value and Evidence (V&E) is responsible for
ensuring patients have affordable, timely access to medicines and
vaccines by advancing innovative value and evidence solutions - to
inform healthcare decision-making.In 2023, we are expanding the
V&E team with a new leader role to accelerate Value and Health
Technology Assessment (VHTA), Evidence Synthesis (ES), Health
Economic Modeling (HEM) and Predictive Analytics (PA) innovation
across our prioritized therapeutic areas.ROLE SUMMARYThe Senior
Director, Health Economic Modeling & Analytics (HEMA) reports to
the Value & Evidence Team Leader (VETL) for Methods Innovation.
She/he will directly impact PHI's ability to achieve business
objectives on a global scale by driving functional excellence,
competency expansion, and methods innovation across all therapeutic
areas supported by V&E to maximize the value of our medicines
and vaccines throughout the life cycle.The Senior Director, HEMA
will be responsible for establishing PFE as an industry leader of
novel V&E methods and solutions that demonstrate clinical and
economic value to key stakeholders (i.e., patients, HTA/payers,
providers, and policymakers).She/he will partner with internal and
external subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and implement the
V&E methods innovation strategy and advance VHTA, ES, and HEMA
capabilities, processes, and methodologies across the PHI and PFE
cross-functional partners. She/he will engage externally with
senior leaders from wide range of scientific and health policy
stakeholders while maintaining a thorough understanding of
competitive regulatory, HTA, value and access requirements across
the global healthcare ecosystem.She/he will foster the development
and maintenance of excellent working relations with external
HTA/HEOR thought leaders, to ensure enterprise awareness,
consideration, and application of innovative VHTA, ES, and HEMA
methods, in accordance with PFE policies and scientific
guidelines/best practices.She/he will serve as the V&E Methods
Innovation liaison to the business and will be responsible for
engaging internal and external stakeholders on the value of
innovative VHTA, ES, and HEMA methods to optimize product approval,
labeling, medical differentiation, external dissemination, and
value assessment.She/he will build effective cross-functional teams
designed to advance innovative V&E solutions from ideation and
concept design to piloting and diffusion.She/he will oversee and/or
drive methods, competency expansion, processes, and technical
review to optimize the impact of VHTA and V&E tactics within
Integrated Value and Access Strategies (IVAS), Value & Evidence
Strategies (VES), and Integrated Evidence Plans (IEP), in support
the global PFE research and business objectives.The Senior
Director, HEMA is also responsible for fostering actions and
behaviors that exemplifies PFE's values (Courage, Excellence,
Equity and Joy) and prioritizing the development of team members'
value and evidence competencies, talent management, and promoting a
culture of sharing, learning, and innovation. She/he will be a
strategic partner to PHI Centers of Excellence, Global Medical,
Regulatory, Commercial, Global marketing teams and prioritized
country teams as a SME for HEMA.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESThe Senior
Director, HEMA will support the VETL for Methods Innovation to
drive the V&E Methods Innovation (V&E MI) strategy,
accelerate VHTA, ES, and HEMA methods across PFE. and broaden the
functional excellence of the V&E Team, cross-functional
partnerships, and external collaboration.Driving Functional
Excellence:To drive functional excellence of the Value & Evidence
Methods Innovation Team, develop and implement V&E Methods
Innovation strategy in partnership with PHI teams (Value & Access,
Value & Evidence, HIC, PHI COEs) as well as commercial, regulatory,
medical, clinical development, and other PFE colleagues.Serve as
the PFE SME on VHTA, ES, and HEMA across the enterpriseFacilitate
process for applying established and innovative VHTA, ES, and HEMA
techniques across early-stage pipeline and inline assets working
alongside vendors, and internal matrix teamsOversee and/or drive
the evolution and application of new VHTA, ES, and HEMA methods and
value frameworks within PFE pipeline and inline assetsIdentify and
manage the development of new VHTA, ES, and HEMA methods and value
frameworks through collaborative efforts with colleagues,
customers, and thought leaders to support the scaling of
initiativesKeep abreast of new methods within HEOR field and
updates/ advances to VHTA guidelines and frameworksOversee and/or
drive methods, competency expansion, processes, and technical
review committee to optimize the impact of VHTA and V&E tactics
within clinical development plans, IVAS, VES, and IEP, in support
the global PFE research and business objectives.Serve as the
V&E methods innovation liaison to the business and advance
internal stakeholders understanding on the value of innovative
VHTA, ES, and HEMA methods to optimize product approval, labeling,
medical differentiation, external dissemination, and value
assessment.Drive best practice sharing across PFE and PHI teams in
support of deepening skills and competencies.Foster a team culture
that embraces collaboration, innovation, and scientific excellence
with a focus on creating new capabilities to meet the needs of the
evolving healthcare landscape, data generation and communication,
collaboration with Worldwide Discovery Research & Medicine (WRDM),
Global Product Development (GPD), Medical Affairs, to ensure

and HEMA methods that will maximize product differentiation,
medical and external dissemination, and value assessment.Plan &
Deliver on Commitments:Lead and/or provide oversight for the
development, management, and implementation of the global V&E
Methods Innovation strategyLead and/or drive methods, competency
expansion, processes, and technical review to optimize the impact
of VHTA, ES, and HEMA tactics within clinical development plans,
IVAS, VES, and IEP, in support the global PFE research and business
objectivesLead the conversation with internal and external
stakeholders on the value of innovative VHTA, ES, and HEMA methods

the evidence and methods generated both internally and externally
via appropriate channels, presentations, journal publications,
conference proceedings, white papersExternal Partnerships:Develop
strategic partnerships and research collaborations with key HEOR

various academic settings to support clinical development, V&E

breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities
including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers,
develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other
colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business
impact.Degree in a relevant discipline such as, but not limited to,
health services research, health outcomes research, epidemiology,
pharmacy administration, public health, psychology, economics,
statistics or decision sciences. [15 years minimum with a
bachelor's degree; 13 years minimum for a master's degree; 10 years
minimum for a PhD or JD]In depth strategic, methodologic, and
technical understanding of Pharmacoeconomics, health economic
modeling, HTA, and market access dynamics is requiredSubject matter
expertise in HTA policy, systematic literature reviews, comparative
effectiveness assessments, indirect treatment comparisons, and
health economics modeling (including R, VBA, or Python
programming), is requiredKnowledge and experience in early drug
development and commercialization is preferredExperienced in
leading a cross functional team with strong track record of high
level engagement and delivering results is preferredStrong
technical and methodological skills (study design, data analysis,

ranges from $185,800.00 to $297,700.00. In addition, this position
offers an annual bonus with a target of 22.5% of the base salary
and eligibility to participate in our share based long term

caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to
include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in
