  Behavioral Health Therapist 1
  Inova Loudon Behavioral Health team is looking for a Behavioral Therapist I to join our team of dedicated professionals in our Cornwall location in Leesburg working full time in person. Some evening and weekend hours will be required.

  Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • The Behavioral Health Therapist 1 assesses and diagnoses mental health and/or substance use disorders through a bio/psycho/social department specific and evidenced based assessment; and will integrate assessments using information related to cultural, clinical, ethnic, age and other factors into the plan of care.
    
  • Provides a range of therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
    
  • Provides care coordination to ensure the patient and family receive and are subsequently referred to appropriate healthcare and community resources to optimize treatment/intervention outcomes.
    
  • May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs, facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health, medical diagnosis, chronic or life-limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach.
    
  • Provides documentation and performs administrative functions appropriate to the role, adhering to Inova Health System's Culture of Safety and participates in maintaining a professional culture throughout the organization.
    
    
    Requirements:
    
    • 
      
    • 0 years of experience plus an internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment
      
    • Masters degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in mental health, social work, counseling, psychology, or behavioral health-related field
      
    • BLS Certification by the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire
      
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification within 6 months of hire
