Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Telemetry position working with diverse patient populations and telemetry skills. Responsibilities - Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting - Patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders - 38-bed unit with RN to patient ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends - Patient Care Technician to patient ratio is 1:10 - Requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - Every other weekend and holiday coverage required - No on-call requirements - Primary responsibilities include caring for patients with complex medical and psychiatric conditions - Must be comfortable working with cardiovascular and pulmonary telemetry - First time travelers are welcome to apply - Locals are accepted at the same rate except for Howard County General, which has a 60 mile radius rule - Holiday and weekend shifts are part of the schedule Requirements - Active RN license in MD or Compact state required - Prior telemetry and Med/Surg unit experience required - IV skills are required - Experience in a hospital with 500 beds required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629184.
