Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring a Maryland or Compact RN license and at least two years of PICU experience. Responsibilities - Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospital setting - Care for patients with diagnoses such as respiratory distress or failure, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), seizures, and pain management - Perform special procedures including moderate sedation, drips, arterial lines, and central lines/CVP - Schedule includes rotating 12-hour night and day shifts (three shifts per week) - Floating within the facility and to affiliated hospitals may be required - First time travelers are welcome to apply - Virtual modules must be completed on the first day of the contract - Annual mandatory education modules required and tracked via transcripts - Return staff must have a 6-month separation period before reapplying as a traveler - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate - No requests for time off will be accepted after an offer is made Requirements - Active Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum of two years recent PICU nursing experience required - Current BCLS and PALS certifications are required - Two professional references required for consideration - Copy of certifications, driver’s license, and Social Security card required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621195.
