The Judge Group is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Facility: MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Baltimore, MD Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Group: MedStar Health – Aya MSP Shift Details: Night Shift – 3x12 Hour Shifts Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend Block Schedule: Not available Licensure & Certifications Required: - Active RN license - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) Experience Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required - Must be comfortable with POD 1 heart patients and fresh heart admissions - First-time travelers accepted (must have CVICU experience) Floating Requirements: Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity On-Call Requirements: 4 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule Skills Required: - Dysrhythmia interpretation and management - Post-cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR) - Chest tube insertion/removal assistance - Ventilator management - Pacer, temporary pacer, transvenous pacer care - IV insulin protocols - Admission and care of fresh heart patients Skills Preferred: - Lumbar drain management Unit Details: - Patient Ratio: 1:2 - Average Daily Census: 1–8 - Total Staffed Beds: 8 - Scrub Color: Navy Blue - Charting System: Cerner / MedConnect - Communication Method: SBAR / shift notes - Medication System: Pyxis Compensation Details: - Local rate applies for candidates residing within 60 miles (see Account Manager for details) Additional Notes: - Must pass Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing (2 attempts allowed; must be completed on a PC) - Failure to complete or pass the test will result in contract cancellation and DNR status from the hospital system About The Judge Group Judge Healthcare, a division of The Judge Group, bridges the talent divide for companies and organizations across the healthcare ecosystem, providing resources and specialized roles such as travel nurses, allied health professionals, locum tenens, and more.
