Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/09/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and proficiency in advanced critical care skills. Responsibilities - Work in the ICU of a hospital setting - Patient population includes critical and surgical care with advanced cardiovascular and neurological cases - Shifts are 12 hours, 3 nights per week from 19:00 to 07:00 - Float to other units is required - Every third weekend coverage is expected - Responsibilities include managing complex critical care cases involving multisystem organ failure, ventilated patients, and post-cardiac interventions - Team members are required to adhere to infection prevention protocols and use of PPE - Must complete required modules before and potentially during orientation - All time off must be requested with initial consideration; no more than 7 days off per 13-week contract is strongly preferred, and no time off is allowed in the first two weeks - Return staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible - Manager interview may not be conducted as part of the hiring process Requirements - Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years recent ICU or CCU RN experience required - Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required - Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms - Competency with skills such as interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, 12 lead EKG, ECMO, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, pulmonary artery lines, and ventilator management - References from two supervisors required - Local candidates within 60 miles accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629634.
