Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU stepdown (IMC) position requiring a Maryland or compact RN license and advanced certifications on a fast-paced night shift. Responsibilities - Work in a 36-bed ICU stepdown (IMC) unit in a hospital setting - Patient population includes medical, surgical, trauma, cardiac, and stroke cases - Most common diagnoses are sepsis, pneumonia (including COVID-19), atrial fibrillation, ESRD, GI bleed, and DKA - Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-7:30) - Fast-paced, high-acuity environment - Use of Cerner EMR - Required to work every other weekend - Floating may be required within the facility and to affiliate hospitals, within scope - Manage a diverse patient population requiring close monitoring and advanced care interventions - Modules completed virtually on the first day of the contract and annually as required - Return staff must have a minimum separation of six months before returning as a traveler, with review on a case-by-case basis - Local candidates accepted at the same rate - No RTO (Requested Time Off) will be accepted after offer is issued - Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided upon assignment Requirements - Active Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum of 2 years recent IMC or ICU stepdown experience (PCU-only experience not accepted) - Current certifications required: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TCAR, and Maryland Approved Trauma Certification - Experience with Cerner EMR preferred - Two professional references required - Copy of certifications and identification documents required for consideration Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629081.
