Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 10/28/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring BLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN and night shift availability. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with a 1:1-2 nurse-to-patient ratio - Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 - Every other weekend required - May be floated to Postpartum/Couplet care and 'feeder/grower' assignments in Level II NICU - Scrubs are provided - Magnet certified facility - Responsibilities include circulating for C-sections and providing comprehensive care from antepartum through postpartum - Floating to postpartum, couplet care, or Level II NICU may be required - Proficiency in triage, sterile vaginal exams, and Baby Friendly practices highly preferred - First time travelers accepted - Return staff must have been separated for at least one year before consideration - Holiday and weekend coverage is expected as scheduled - Up to 7 days RTO preferred per 13-week contract, no RTO allowed in first two weeks - Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a different rate - Completion of required training modules pre-start and during orientation, average 12 hours Requirements - Active MD or compact state RN license required - Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience (may consider 2 years) - Charge and preceptor experience required - Current certifications: BLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN - Must have C-EFM through NCC or register within compliance phase or first two weeks - LDRP, Circulating for C-section, antepartum/intrapartum/postpartum/couplet care experience required - Two supervisor references required - Annual flu vaccine required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-612256.
