Job Description 2026 Nocturnal Intensivist opening in Baltimore, MD - Baltimore, MD - Carroll County, Baltimore County, Frederick County, MD Position Details: - Full-time - Evening/Night shifts - Hours Vary - Seeking a full-time, Nocturnal Intensivist physician to join a Critical Care team. - Summer, 2026 Nocturnal Intensivist - Approximately 13 to 14 twelve-hour shifts monthly - Well-established Critical Care Division presently consists of 11 full-time Critical Care Intensivists and 8 full-time Critical Care Physician Assistants - Provide in-house coverage for ICU patients - Enjoy the reward of teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. - Critical Care procedural skills including central line insertion with ultrasound guidance, arterial catheter insertion, IO insertion, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, small and large bore chest tubes, intubation, and use of bedside ultrasound. - Patient case mix includes both routine/moderate acuity and complex/high acuity patients. - Variable census range. - EMR: Cerner Qualifications: - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine required - BE/BC in Pulmonology optional - Maryland Medical License without restrictions - Current CDS and DEA license - BLS and ACLS certification - Critical Care fellowship training - Must work well in a team environment - Someone innovative who leads by example - Very good people skills and a high emotional intelligence - Interested in teaching medical students and residents Benefits: - Competitive starting base salary commensurate with the Intensivist/Critical Care physician s experience. - Base salary ranges from 200K-500K depending on specialty, experience and training - Healthcare, Dental and Vision Insurance - Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) - 401k retirement plan - NQDC Deferred Compensation Plan - Life Insurance - Free parking - Malpractice coverage - Credentialing and licensing fees will be reimbursed Medical Group Details:The health system has a breadth of sophisticated programs and services and a wide network of colleagues to draw upon.
