Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 -
07:30) Experience: 2 years preferred; first-time travelers with
strong skills/experience in CVICU accepted. License: Active RN
state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIH; CCRN preferred
Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. - Charting
system experience required; familiarity with Epic is necessary. -
Ability to float within the specialty and lower acuity levels as
needed. Description: The position is for a CICU/CVICU Registered
Nurse working night shifts. The nurse will be responsible for
providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients. Common
diagnoses include cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure,
and cardiac arrhythmias. The nurse will manage patients with
advanced devices such as LVADs and IABPs. Special procedures may
include bedside central line and A-line insertions, chest tube
insertion, and targeted temperature management. The average daily
census is approximately 10 patients with a staffing ratio of 1:1,
up to 3 with stable lower acuity patients. Floating within the unit
is required. Weekend shifts will be needed every other weekend.
Holidays off will be scheduled as they occur. Emergency medications
and ventilator management are key skills required for this
position. Travelers are expected to adhere to unit policies and
