Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical

state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; CPI and
NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience
required - ER holding experience required - Candidate must
successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum
overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. -
Travel experience required - Every 3rd weekend required - Float
required to MS, MS/Tele, IMC, and ED Boarder Description: The
position requires a Med Surg Float Registered Nurse who is open to
working 3x12 or 4x12 shifts. Floating to various units such as
medical surgical, intermediate care, and emergency department
border is required as needed. Travelers will be expected to float
to the emergency department to care for border patients and float
to inpatient units to care for various patients. Candidates should
have experience in accessing and managing ports, central line blood
draws, and managing chest tubes. Experience in caring for patients
with conditions such as cerebrovascular accidents, renal failure,
and post-operative management is required. Skills in telemetry
monitoring and the management of dysrhythmias are essential. In
addition, candidates must have experience with non-invasive airway
management and wound care. Interdisciplinary team support is
available in areas such as respiratory services, physical therapy,
and pharmacy. Patient care experience should encompass adults and
geriatric patients, with a daily census averaging around 25.
Candidates should be prepared for a diverse patient population and
various medical procedures within the float role. Documentation and
charting experience is preferred, particularly with the electronic
health record system. The workload includes a patient ratio of 4-6
