Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/27/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER; Additional Notes from VMS= ED Boarder RN - MS/Tele & Cardiac Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 3x12 schedule required • Every 3rd weekend required • One major holiday per contract required • Float to MS and MS/Tele units as needed • No call required • Patient ratios: 4 patients during days, 5 patients during nights, 4 patients on weekends • Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms • 2 years of experience required • MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience required • First-time travelers accepted • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • Must have compact license or MD license • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions • Two supervisor references required • Care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Work with 52 beds and 44 rooms with daily census of 125 • Skills include ER holding, pacemaker management, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, central line management, heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, wound care, blood product administration, and respiratory support equipment Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department with ED boarder services focusing on medical-surgical telemetry and cardiac telemetry care. The facility features 52 beds across 44 rooms and maintains a high daily census of 125 patients. The organization provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
