We are urgently hiring for a talented PA to support our Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Atlantic City. This role offers a compelling blend of inpatient hospital-based responsibilities, varied shift schedules, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. Required Skills: Valid Physician Assistant License in New Jersey Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related surgical specialties Proficiency in performing procedures such as chest tube insertions and vascular tissue retrieval Strong assessment and diagnostic skills Ability to assist in OR procedures and handle complex patient cases Effective communication and team collaboration abilities Competence in ordering, interpreting tests, and writing prescriptions Excellent suture removal skills and bedside manner Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in inpatient hospital settings Knowledge of Cerner EMR system Familiarity with trauma or critical care protocols Bilingual skills Preferred Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program Minimum of 2 years relevant clinical experience, ideally in cardiothoracic or surgical settings Current NCCPA certification Eligibility for New Jersey state licensure, with license verification completed prior to assignment Other Requirements: In-house coverage during weekday, weekend, and night shifts Ability to work varied shifts, including overnight and weekend call Ability to round on patients, coordinate care, and assist during surgeries Scheduled start date: February 2, 2026 Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days This opportunity offers a highly competitive hourly pay rate, dependable weekly pay via direct deposit, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, paid sick leave, licensure and travel reimbursements, and referral bonuses.
